My Thoughts:

I'll work my way backwards.

Status Unknown:

I would be shocked if NBC does not renew Harry's Law. From what I read, it's done very well for the Monday 10PM time slot. And I hope that Fox gives The Chicago Code a chance since I can find myself getting into the story. As for Mr. Sunshine on ABC, I just do not find the show that funny. It's a shame because I do like Matthew Perry and if he had material he could actually go with, it would be comedic gold.

Canceled:

People who know me should know how I feel about Smallville. It should have ended 5 years ago. I feel that the past few seasons have been a complete waste of my time. With only a few months left in the season, I really hope that Smallville will end on a high note. As for the other canceled shows, I was just never interested.

The Danger Zone:

Something has to be said about NBC leading the danger zone with six shows. Overhyped The Event into disappointment and confusion. The Cape seems to be leading me astray. I never even bothered with Chase or Perfect Couples. I was just never interested with Chuck, at all. And Perfect Couples appears to be suffering the same fate as it's “predecessor”, 'For Your Love'. I'm not surprised with what made the list for Fox. Actually, I am, I was expecting more! NBC could overtake Fox in the Cancellation Trigger Happy category. As much as I liked The Defenders on CBS, it is just a very tight Wednesday 10PM time slot, as it battles SVU and don't forget Justified also plays a major factor in the ratings war. The same with ABC's Detroit 1-8-7, I believe that The Good Wife has been leading the Tuesday night 10PM slot. I feel sad about No Ordinary Family, but at the same time, I'm wondering where the overall story was heading, with the dad from 7th Heaven being the clear villain, what would happen next? Can't be fighting super powered villains and dealing with high school pressure for the whole duration! And the same with Off the Map, I have enjoyed the show, it was different for a medical show, but where's it taking me? Some of the drama was boring. And finally, Nikita...CW admitted taking a gamble on a 22 episode first season...will it be a gamble to renew it for a second?

Most likely will return:

To be honest, I still do not have high expectations for Law & Order: Los Angeles. With the cast shake-up, it put a real halt into their production. And I can't think of too many shows that have come back from hiatus roaring through the ratings. To me, a hiatus and retooling of the show is just another delay in an eventual cancellation. I'm also shocked about Parenthood. Is anyone still watching it? After the first season, I stopped caring about the family. I just felt that there is nothing tying this show to the great 1989 feature film. It will be interesting to see if The Office can indeed survive without Steve Carrell. Fringe is another shocker, I thought for sure the schedule moves were a clear sign of doom.

Returning:

Well, even with Charlie Sheen's erratic personal life, Two and Half Men is still a ratings magnet and there is no way in Hell that CBS would give up on this show. I imagine they would pull a Weekend at Bernie's with Sheen's corpse before they thought about cancellation. No big surprise that Fox will renew it's Animation Domination block, and no surprise that Bob's Burgers may not be among them next year. And Glee looks like it'll give Fox another season of high ratings, although if more crazy theme nights pop out...I don't know. And finally, it looks like CBS and NBC plan on more Thursday night comedy wars for next season, with 30 Rock vs. The Big Bang Theory.

If I could save...

If I could save some shows from the Danger Zone...I'd save Nikita and move The Defenders to a different night and time.

If I could axe...

If I could axe some shows right now...it would be Law & Order: Angeles and Fringe. I would have said The Event but I firmly believe that is going out on it's own.

If I could revive from 2009-2010...

If I could revive shows that were canceled last season and had been replaced with garbage...I'd bring back NBC's Trauma and Mercy...how Undercovers and Chase came into existence over those two shows, I'll never know.

News:

A year after 24 has ended and Kiefer Sutherland could be back on Fox. But not for a 24 revival. He is interested in 'Touch', where a man discovers his autistic son can predict the future.

SyFy will air all 31 episodes of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, beginning in April.

And although not directly television related...Larry King plans on hitting a 7 city touring show. The man is actually quite funny, so if you can get there, I recommend seeing him in action!

And that's it for this week!

Oh, one final note...if you want more of my articles and opinions, be sure to check out my blog...The Realness. This week, I stated how I really feel about Megan Fox and my favorite comedies!
